Job summary

SCAN is seeking a Remote Member Service Representative to assist members with benefits, eligibility, referrals, claims and other plan services while delivering superior customer service. You will educate members and families about benefits and options, and document interactions in our system with a professional demeanor.

As an agent in a high-volume environment, you will handle inquiries, explain plan options clearly, and follow up to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years call center or related customer service experience.
• 1-2 years Medicare benefits experience preferred.
• Experience in healthcare, insurance or pharmacy industry desirable.
• Ability to maintain calm demeanor at all times, including during highly charged situations.
• Data entry and general computer skills (word processing, e-mail) required.

Responsibilities

• Assist members with questions about benefits, eligibility, referrals, claims and other plan aspects.
• Explain benefits and plan options clearly in person, via email or by phone.
• Provide follow-up to clarify issues, determine causes, and present solutions; escalate as needed.
• Maintain accurate records in the computer system and follow department policies.
• Support member retention and overall service goals through timely, effective responses.
