Visante LLC is seeking a Medication Access Specialist to provide remote, integrated support to patients, pharmacists, and providers. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three years of pharmacy experience in healthcare or with pharmacy providers focused on medication access.
• State Board of Pharmacy Technician registration within 2 months of start date, if applicable.
• Active CPhT certification preferred (PTCB or NHA).
• Experience with PBM adjudication and preauthorization processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead medication intake processes coordinating among clinic providers, staff, pharmacies, and patients.
• Conduct benefits investigations to determine coverage and out-of-pocket costs.
• Identify patient assistance programs and other financial resources to reduce costs.
• Gather documentation for prior authorization submissions and escalate denials as needed.
• Coordinate steps for insurance denials with clinic staff for appeals review.
• Communicate with clinics to obtain information for prior authorizations.
• Provide patient outreach on coverage and financing options and make medication recommendations.
• Document coverage determinations and follow up with patients in a timely manner.
