Job summary

BCBST BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, Inc. is seeking an Individual Sales Support Agent to assist day‑to‑day sales activities by providing information and help to customers, brokers, and internal teams.

The role is remote, with a Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. ET schedule, and a rotating Open Enrollment schedule during Oct 1–Jan 15. Experience in Medicare, Marketplace, or Commercial Operations is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2 years of experience in a customer service support role.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Receive, investigate, and resolve inquiries timely, documenting communications.
• Answer basic inquiries and resolve routine problems via calls, email, or chat.
• Survey customers to assess satisfaction and cross-selling opportunities.
• Provide contract administration support and resolve related issues.
• Develop new prospects and introduce products/services to potential customers.
• Assist brokers with benefits, eligibility, and billing inquiries.
• Adapt to flexible/rotating schedules as business needs dictate.
