Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Medical Staff Services Coordinator to work from home within a defined HCA market. You will credential and privilege providers, manage Cactus file reviews, and provision access to clinical systems as directed by the Division Medical Staff Services Department.

You will apply credentialing procedures, communicate with applicants, and prepare summaries for facility review while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in all records.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years medical staff credentialing experience in an acute care or centralized credentialing office setting.
• Ambulatory surgery experience preferred.
• CPCS and/or CPMSM Credentialing Certification preferred.
• Cactus credentialing software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of bylaws, policies, regulations, and confidentiality.
• Apply credentials evaluation uniformly to RFC/applications and re-applications.
• Provide outreach to obtain missing or incomplete information.
• Prepare summary credentialing reports with flags for review.
• Use Cactus to create and upload communication letters and update provider records.
• Update scheduling system to align with provider data in Cactus.
• Submit eSAF access requests as instructed by facility or leadership.
• Escalate issues requiring leadership assistance.
