Job summary

Ascendis Pharma is seeking a Medical Science Liaison to be the external scientific expert in Medical Affairs. The role focuses on endocrine and rare disease programs, engaging with KOLs and educating healthcare providers about our TransCon portfolio.

Remote work is supported and the role reports to the Director, Field Medical Team. The ideal candidate has an MD/PhD/PharmD or equivalent and at least 5 years of pharma MSL experience, with pediatric endocrinology/rare disease exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• MD/PhD/PharmD or equivalent.
• Minimum 5+ years of pharmaceutical MSL experience.
• Pediatric endocrinology, endocrinology or rare disease experience preferred.
• Must be outgoing and enjoy interacting with healthcare providers and researchers.
• Strong ability to communicate scientific and clinical information verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the field-based external medical representation of Medical Affairs.
• Educate healthcare providers about disease states and Ascendis Pharma products.
• Identify and engage key opinion leaders and organizations within geography.
• Provide medical/scientific presentations to internal and external audiences.
• Develop and maintain a KOL engagement plan for the geography.
• Capture external insights and communicate back to internal teams.
• Collaborate with MOSLs and other Medical Affairs colleagues on regional deliverables.
• Support clinical trials and IIT-related activities as needed.
• Document activities in the CRM system and ensure policy compliance.
