Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED equivalent.
• Strong communications and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality laws.
• Experience handling medical records and PHI.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve and process paper and electronic medical and billing records.
• Respond to release of information requests while protecting PHI.
• Draft communications to patients and payors as needed.
• Document and action accounts accurately.
• Support management with status updates and trend reporting.
