Job summary

Datavant is hiring a data entry specialist to process medical record requests in a high-volume healthcare environment. This remote, full-time role requires accuracy, strong data entry skills, and the ability to work with EMR systems.

You will enter data, handle requests from patients, insurers and attorneys, and meet charts-per-hour targets while maintaining HIPAA compliance and confidentiality. Training and benefits included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months plus Data Entry Experience.
• EMR experience A+.
• Experience in a healthcare environment or release of information setting is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail.
• Computer skills including Windows based applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Outlook).
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Adaptable to changing business environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work within a diverse group of individuals and collaboratively in a matrixed, cross-departmental remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Enter accurate data when assigned by team lead.
• Remote processing of electronic medical records through various EMR systems as directed.
• Respond to changing priorities with minimum supervision.
• Report any technical difficulties to supervisor promptly.
• Meet required metrics for your role - CPH (Charts Per Hour) & Attendance.
• Participate in all training assigned by supervisor.
• Maintain confidentiality to safeguard patient rights and comply with HIPAA.
• Read all documentation and follow written instructions to ensure compliance and accurate job completion.
• Report security breaches or site difficulties to team leads.
• Support a service environment focused on quality processes.
• Ensure deadlines are met and respond to emails and information requests timely.
• Adhere to company policies and perform other duties as assigned.
