Job summary

Valley View Hospital is seeking a Coder to assign ICD-10, ICD-10-PCS and CPT/HCPCS codes for inpatient and outpatient services. The role involves resolving edits, reviewing denials, and maintaining high chart review accuracy in a remote capacity.

Qualified candidates will have CCS or RHIT with CCS, at least three years of hospital coding experience, and a minimum typing speed of 35 wpm. Colorado remote flexibility is preferred.

Qualifications

• AHIMA Certified Coding Specialist or RHIT with CCS is required.
• Adjusted minimum typing speed of 35 wpm.
• Must communicate in English through verbal, written, and reading skills.
• Remote position; standard physical requirements include reaching, bending, and occasional lifting up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10, ICD-10-PCS, CPT/HCPCS codes for inpatient and outpatient services.
• Resolve billing queue edits and review claim denials.
• Maintain daily chart review volume with high coding accuracy.
