Job summary

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC is recruiting multiple remote Medical Coders to support the VA Office of Veterans Community Care. The role requires validating medical coding sets, translating diagnoses, procedures, and services into standardized codes, and ensuring compliance with VA policies.

Qualifications include a Certificate Program, 3+ years of experience, and one of AHIMA or AAPC certification paths. Applicants must understand VHA coding systems; no sponsorship is available.

Qualifications

• Certificate Program required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience required.
• Must possess one of the following: AHIMA or AAPC Apprentice/Associate Certification, AHIMA or AAPC Mastery-Level Certification, AHIMA or ACDIS Clinical Documentation Improvement Certification.
• Strong understanding of VHA coding systems and code sets.
• No sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate medical coding sets.
• Translate diagnoses, procedures, and services into standardized codes.
• Ensure compliance with VA coding policies and billing requirements.
• Utilize ICD, CPT, HCPCS, and other VHA-approved coding systems.
• Stay current on coding updates and CCN Next Gen-specific coding requirements.
• Perform coding quality assurance, audits, and discrepancy corrections.
• Prepare coding reports and participate in coding-related meetings.
