Job summary

Raintree Systems, Inc. is seeking a Payment Reconciliation Specialist for a fully remote role in the United States. The candidate will manage deposits, posting, and follow-ups with a strong emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.

Experience with medical billing is required, and knowledge of payer contracts is essential. Responsibilities include month-end closing, remittance retrieval, and resolving posting issues while providing excellent client support.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of medical insurance posting experience.
• Knowledge of payer contract & government reimbursement rules.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Google apps.
• Skilled in using computer applications for payment posting and A/R follow up.
• Knowledge of insurance and reimbursement policies.
• Experience with medical billing software (Raintree Systems a plus).
• Basic understanding of accounting and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain all logs and spreadsheets used for reconciliation.
• Investigate, research, and resolve outstanding deposits, contacting clients and payers as needed.
• Identify and research information to clear posting errors and follow ups.
• Participate in month end closing.
• Retrieve and post remittances from payor websites when needed.
• Reconcile daily cash deposits to the billing system and bank.
• Assist clients by answering inquiries and providing information.
• Special projects and assignments as assigned.
