SCAN Health Plan seeks a Medical Management Assistant to support the Medical Management department by handling provider calls, faxes, and data entry in CCMS. You will help authorize services and gather information to ensure quality care for SCAN members.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in a managed care setting, strong data-entry skills, and knowledge of Medicare/Medi-Cal guidelines. This role offers remote work options, competitive pay, and benefits to support staff well-being.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 3+ years of medical experience in a managed care environment is preferred.
• Proficiency with data entry required.
• ICD-9, CPT coding experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is required.
• Utilization Management experience is required.
• Excellent communication skills; primarily telephonic required.
• Working knowledge of Medicare and Medi-Cal guidelines preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize.
• Ability to multitask and work with limited supervision.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Ability to provide professional customer service.
• Proficient in MS Office.

Mansioni

• Respond to provider calls and faxes and route to appropriate staff.
• Enter inpatient and related data into the case management system (CCMS).
• Authorize SCAN services under clinical direction.
• Support data accuracy and complete documentation per workflows.
• Verify member data by researching eligibility and benefits as needed.
• Maintain telephone standards and respond within established times.
• Communicate with members and providers with courtesy and professionalism.
• Protect member privacy and SCAN confidentiality.
