The American Red Cross seeks a senior transfusion medicine physician to lead consultation, education and policy development in transfusion medicine. You will oversee hospital relationships, patient services, and donor-related clinical programs while ensuring compliance with CLIA and industry standards.

The role requires deep clinical expertise, hospital collaborations, and a willingness to travel regionally. A remote-first arrangement with regular onsite presence is offered.

Formación

• MD/DO with post-graduate training in blood banking/transfusion medicine.
• Board certified or eligible in internal medicine, pediatrics or clinical pathology.
• Board certified or eligible in blood banking/transfusion medicine or equivalent is highly desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Provide medical consultation in transfusion medicine, blood banking and patient services to hospital customers.
• Provide continuing medical education and promote safe use of blood components.
• Direct patient service programs including therapeutic apheresis and stem cell processing.
