Job summary

Cedars-Sinai is seeking an HID Coding Trainer to educate, consult, audit, and mentor clinicians on medical documentation and coding practices to support compliant billing. Applicants should hold RHIA/CPC/RHIT/CCS credentials, have 5+ years of hospital coding experience, and at least 2 years in training.

Qualifications

• RHIA/CPC/RHIT/CCS certification required
• 5+ years hospital coding experience
• 2+ years in a training role preferred
• Experience with physician documentation and coding practices preferred

Responsibilities

• Conducts audits of medical records to ensure coding accuracy and compliance
• Delivers customized education and training for clinicians on coding and documentation
• Analyzes data and reports findings to drive improvement in documentation practices
• Develops and maintains training materials in collaboration with coding leadership
