Job summary

Infinx is seeking a Healthcare Coding Specialist to join our remote team. You will assign ICD-10 and CPT codes, ensure accurate reimbursements, and minimize denials as part of our Coding Services group.

The role requires 1+ year of coding experience, relevant credentials, and strong communication. We offer flexible hours, 401(k) plan, medical coverage, PTO, holidays, and EAP as part of our benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of medical coding experience.
• CPC/COC/CCS/CCS-P/RHIA/RHIT credential preferred.
• Understanding of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and medical terminology.
• Knowledge of medical business and revenue cycle operations.
• Proficient with Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assign and sequence ICD-10 and CPT codes with modifiers.
• Query clients when documentation is unclear for coding.
• Monitor payer changes affecting coding practices.
• Resolve coding system edits, payer rejections, and denials.
• Stay up-to-date with coding changes through continuing education.
• Support process improvement initiatives.
