Virtua Health is seeking a skilled medical coder to abstract clinical information and assign CPT-4 and ICD-10 codes from medical records to support physicians’ professional fees.

You will code outpatient E/M services and procedures, research coding issues, and collaborate with the Coding/Charge/Audit teams to ensure accurate billing. CPC certification and knowledge of anatomy/medical terminology are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of records coding experience or equivalent education.
• Must be able to operate in a Microsoft Windows environment.
• Experience with electronic health record systems preferred.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPC certification required.

Responsabilités

• Abstract billing for outpatient E/M codes, CPT-4, ICD-10-CM and modifiers.
• Research coding/billing issues and advise on best methods.
• Analyze records to ensure coding accuracy and detect abuse patterns.
