Job summary

Qualifications

• Certified CPC with knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS and HIPAA regulations.
• Experience with electronic health records and billing workflows.
• Strong MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook skills.
• Understanding of payer billing procedures and third-party rules.
• Ability to analyze data and produce actionable reports.

Responsibilities

• Review billing Activity and provide comprehensive summaries to leadership and clinicians.
• Advise on operational improvements to improve payment and reimbursement.
• Develop, implement, and monitor policies to optimize provider reimbursement.
• Create training materials and guidelines for new regulations.
• Collaborate to resolve issues with claims and reduce rejections.
• Research payer policies and communicate changes to the team.
• Lead reimbursement projects and track variance with carriers.
• Perform coding audits and report risk findings.
• Ensure compliance with university, state and payer rules.
• Coordinate workload and development of subordinates.
• May manage exempt and non-exempt staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
