Job summary

Yale Cancer Center's Clinical Trials Office seeks a Research Billing Compliance Analyst to act as the primary liaison between hospital and professional billing offices. You will review charges, ensure CMS regulatory alignment, maintain documentation, and communicate findings to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience with regulatory documents such as MCA and CTA.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with clinical trial systems and protocols.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and clinical trial platforms.

Responsibilities

• Complete risk assessments on trials with billable services using CTMS/OnCore.
• Evaluate ICD-10, CPT-4, HCPCS codes and modifiers for compliance.
• Identify charges not defined in protocols and coordinate with Sponsored Projects.
• Review billable services in OnCore and Epic; communicate with Compliance.
• Develop corrective action plans with PIs and study teams; implement changes.
• Maintain logs of investigations; enter findings in OnCore; analyze trends.
• Assist in research billing training; develop materials on coding and regs.
• Generate OnCore reports to identify trends and focus reviews.
• Support implementation of the Research Billing Compliance Program.
• Stay current with coding best practices and regulatory changes; maintain CPC CEUs.
