Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking a Professional Coder for a 6-month contract, fully remote in the United States (remote from NY, NJ, PA, DE, CT allowed). You will review, code, and analyze medical records for HCC abstraction and risk adjustment data validation across ACA, Medicare Advantage, and commercial lines.

Qualifications include RHIT/CPC/CCS, 2–5 years of coding experience, and familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10.

Qualifications

• RHIT or CPC or CCS certification required
• 2–5 years medical coding experience
• 2 years in health insurance audits or utilization review
• Bachelor's degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Translate CPT, HCPCS, ICD-9/ICD-10 codes for HCC abstraction.
• Review medical records for completeness, accuracy and compliance.
• Code member data using ICD-9/ICD-10 and other systems.
• Support documentation and coding improvement tools for units.
• Assist internal stakeholders as SME on coding guidelines.
• Maintain productivity and accuracy standards.
• Participate in program improvement discussions.
