Qualifications

• 3+ years of coding experience, Medicare Advantage or Risk Adjustment coding preferred.
• AAPC or AHIMA certification required and current.
• Strong ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS knowledge; familiarity with medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Code professional services from medical records (diagnoses, procedures, modifiers).
• Apply knowledge of CMS/HCC coding and related guidelines.
• Query providers when documentation is unclear or incomplete; follow up as needed.
