CHC of Snohomish County in Everett, WA is seeking a Medical Coder responsible for day-to-day coding and billing across grants, Medicare, Medicaid and private insurances.

Responsibilities include reviewing codes, ensuring accurate ICD10, CPT, HCPCS coding, and staying compliant with HIPAA and program policies. Requires CPC/CCS or equivalent credentials; prior production coding in healthcare preferred. Remote work eligible after onsite training.

Responsabilités

• Reviews and adjudicates coding of services from documentation in a timely manner.
• Maintains physician/provider visit procedure codes and notes to identify appropriate ICD10 and CPT codes for charge processing.
• Ensures all diagnosis ICD10 codes, CPT codes and HCPCS codes are identified, sequenced, and coded accurately for reimbursement.
• Assigns Evaluation and Management codes based on patient notes and guidelines.
• Researches correct codes for routine or new/unusual diagnosis and procedures.
• Identifies procedures requiring modifiers (including 340B) for billing.
• Consults with providers for data clarification when documentation is incomplete.
• Tracks cases with insufficient documentation for proper coding and billing.
• Ensures documentation adheres to federal, state and county billing policies.
• Adheres to attendance standards for daily operations.
