Job summary

Signature Performance is seeking a Medical Coder for a remote nationwide role in the United States. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of medical coding experience with proficiency in ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS, and EHR systems.

Certification from AHIMA or AAPC is preferred. Responsibilities include assigning diagnoses and procedures, reviewing records for accuracy, and ensuring compliance with guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Medical Coding experience.
• Experience with Professional Fee Coding.
• Experience with EHR systems.
• AHIMA or AAPC certifications: RHIT, RHIA, CCA, CCS, CCS-P, CPC.

Responsibilities

• Assign principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS.
• Review records to determine diagnoses and procedures and assign correct codes.
• Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines and regulations.
• Query physicians to obtain missing documentation for accurate coding.
