Optum is seeking a Remote Medical Coder to perform concurrent review of CPT and E/M codes within Epic, ensuring accurate coding and maximum reimbursement. The role offers weekday hours, remote nationwide work, and engagement with a diverse healthcare team.

Responsibilities include applying coding rules, interpreting documentation, querying providers as needed, and supporting revenue cycle through accurate coding.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certification in medical coding (AAPC or AHIMA).
• 1+ years of coding experience.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, Modifiers & HCPCS rules.
• Strong medical terminology and anatomy knowledge.
• Ability to meet deadlines and stay productive.

Mansioni

• Code medical procedures and diagnoses accurately using CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS.
• Interpret clinical documentation and identify applicable codes.
• Generate queries when documentation is unclear.
• Follow up with providers for timely responses.
