Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Medical Coder to analyze and code claim information, ensuring accuracy and clear explanations. The role supports a payer-centric care approach and involves reviewing documentation to maintain data quality across specialties.

You will work from home with a Monday–Friday schedule and a 40-hour work week. The position requires CPC/COC/CCS or similar AHIMA/AAPC credentials, 6 months coding experience, and strong medical terminology knowledge.

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience with professional fee billing and coding reimbursement and third party payers regulations.
• 6 months of knowledge in medical terminology.
• Access to a designated quiet workspace at home with the ability to secure PHI.
• Live in a location with internet capable of UnitedHealth Group access.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and codes claim information in a timely and accurate manner.
• Responsible for written explanations ensuring quality data and timely review.
• Completes work ensuring department benchmarks are met with current standards and technologies.
• Maintains professionalism and integrity within the department.
• Manage DME claims with timely adjudication and proper documentation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
