Capital Health System, Inc. is seeking a Hospital Outpatient Coder 2 to assign ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes, CPT/HCPCS procedure codes, and modifiers for outpatient encounters, including ERs and same-day records.

You will query providers when needed, ensure documentation supports proper coding for accurate reimbursement, and maintain compliance with coding policies while meeting quality and productivity targets.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPC or COC certification preferred.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and thorough documentation.
• Phone and email etiquette for hospital communications.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with productivity and quality standards.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS; encoder and EMR experience.

Aufgaben

• Code outpatient services (ER, same day medicals, same day surgical) accurately.
• Meet quality and productivity benchmarks; reduce DNFB.
• Collaborate with CDI, billing, and revenue integrity teams.
• Identify documentation gaps and query providers as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date coding credentials and compliance with guidelines.
