Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Abstract billing for outpatient E/M codes and HCPCS codes from provider documentation; assign CPT-4 and ICD-10-CM codes and modifiers.
• Research coding/billing issues for physicians; identify and recommend appropriate coding methods.
• Analyze medical records to determine coding accuracy and identify potential patterns of abuse; collaborate with Coding/Charge/Audit Analysts.
