Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a skilled medical coder to abstract clinical information and assign CPT-4 and ICD-10 codes for outpatient E/M services and procedures. You will work with physicians to ensure accurate coding and billing while maintaining compliance and quality standards.

Minimum two years of coding experience with CPC certification and AAPC training are preferred. The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and proficiency in Windows-based systems.

Qualifications

• Two years of coding experience or equivalent education.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy/physiology.
• Ability to work in a Windows environment and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Abstract billing for outpatient E/M codes and procedures from provider documentation.
• Assign CPT-4, ICD-10-CM codes and modifiers; research coding issues as needed.
• Analyze records for coding accuracy and potential patterns of abuse with team support.
