Capital Health seeks a professional medical coder to assign CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM codes for professional claims, ensuring accuracy and compliance across procedures and documentation.

The role requires CPC-A/CPC/CCS-P certification, 2 years of coding experience, and the ability to work with multiple EMR systems. This is a full-time position with remote options within New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Alabama.

Qualifications

• CPC-A, CPC, or CCS-P certification required.
• Associate's degree in health information management preferred.
• Two years' experience in physician coding role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews CPT-4 procedure codes and modifiers for procedures in the OR and complex settings.
• Validates ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes.
• Analyzes documentation to ensure appropriate E/M coding.
• Ensures compliance with AMA and CMS coding conventions.
• Collaborates with billing and revenue integrity teams to prevent issues.
