Job summary

Mindpath Health is hiring a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) for a fully remote, full-time position covering TX, NC, SC, or FL. You will perform professional coding using CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS, ensure compliance with AMA/CMS guidelines, research denials, and support accurate reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of progressive experience in medical coding/reimbursement.
• Advanced knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS coding for billing.
• Experience with AdvancedMD and NextGen databases highly desired.
• Knowledge of payer requirements for benefits, Referrals, Authorizations.
• Familiarity with CMS/Medicare guidelines and HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review and audit charge encounters for correct CPT/ICD-10/HCPCS across facilities.
• Assist with pre- and post-audits while adhering to payer policies and government regulations.
• Monitor audit progress and report to Coding Compliance Manager.
• Maintain required CEUs and active certification.
• Code, abstract, and review diagnostic and procedural information for reimbursement.
• Identify documentation deficiencies and resolve coding issues.
• Serve as subject matter expert to RCM Leadership and staff.
• Ensure documentation supports diagnoses, procedures, and treatment results.
• Communicate with providers and payers to resolve coding-related issues.
• Submit clean claims and support accurate reimbursement and reporting.
