Job summary

TRC Talent Solutions is seeking a Medical Insurance Follow-Up Specialist for a remote role in Nashville, TN. You will perform second-tier follow-up on accounts, resolve denials, and manage aged receivables for hospital and physician billing.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in healthcare revenue cycle, familiarity with UB-04/HCFA 1500, and experience with major EHRs. This remote position offers flexible hours and a focus on accuracy and productivity.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in healthcare revenue cycle or medical billing.
• Experience with hospital and/or physician billing procedures.
• Strong knowledge of UB-04 and HCFA 1500 claim forms.
• Proficiency with Epic, Cerner, Meditech, McKesson, Allscripts or Soarian.
• Excellent multitasking and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform second-tier follow-up on outstanding insurance accounts.
• Resolve denied, underpaid, and unresolved claims for hospital and physician billing.
• Work on aged accounts and address payer issues per policy.
• Conduct detailed account research, especially for high-dollar accounts.
• Review UB-04 and HCFA 1500 claims for accuracy and completeness.
• Escalate payer errors for reprocessing and submit appeals as needed.
