TRC Talent Solutions is hiring a Medical Billing Specialist in Dallas, TX. This temp-to-hire, full-time role offers remote flexibility and a strong benefits package.

You will perform second-tier insurance follow-up, resolve denials, and remediate aged A/R, collaborating with payers and internal teams.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in healthcare revenue cycle, hospital/physician billing experience, and proficiency with Epic, Cerner, Meditech, or Soarian.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of healthcare revenue cycle experience.
• Experience with hospital and/or physician billing and denials.

Responsibilities

• Perform second-tier insurance follow-up on outstanding A/R balances.
• Resolve denied, underpaid, and unresolved claims.
• Remediate aged accounts and address payer issues.
• Review claims for UB-04/HCFA 1500 accuracy.
• Investigate eligibility discrepancies and coding issues.
• Communicate with payers, clients and internal teams.
• Identify payer trends and workflow improvements.
• Submit corrected claims, rebills and appeals.
• Document account activity and correspondence thoroughly.
• Escalate payer errors for reprocessing.
