Job summary

Raintree Systems, Inc. is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist for medical claims. This remote role is fielded from designated U.S. states and focuses on accurate, timely billing and reimbursements for multispecialty services.

You will handle claim submissions, follow-ups, appeals, and patient inquiries while maintaining HIPAA compliance and strong internal controls. The position requires extensive experience in medical billing and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google apps.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in Medical Insurance Claims billing preferred.
• Minimum 7 years plus of experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Google applications.
• Proactive curiosity and basic AI fluency to identify efficiency gains and streamline daily workflows.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and re-submit clean claims to various insurance companies electronically or by paper.
• Analyze and correct first pass rejected claims for completeness and accuracy.
• Research and perform billing claim status follow up activities for assigned plans.
• Review, evaluate and process all claim appeals with required documentation.
• Research and recommend account adjustments and/or write-offs based on collectability.
• Identify and report claims problems to proactively resolve billing trends.
