The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 7+ years in medical billing, and proficiency with MS Office and Google apps. You will identify trends, resolve issues, and ensure timely reimbursement while upholding HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• 7+ years of medical billing experience required.
• Experience with medical insurance claims billing preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office and Google apps.
• Ability to identify efficiencies and improve workflows using basic AI fluency.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and re-submit clean claims to insurers per guidelines.
• Analyze and correct first-pass claim rejections for resubmission.
• Follow up on primary/secondary claim statuses for plans.
• Process claim appeals with supporting documentation.
• Recommend account adjustments or write-offs based on collectability.
• Identify trends and report issues to management promptly.
• Generate and mail monthly patient balance statements.
• Review delinquent accounts and collect overdue payments.
• Answer billing questions from patients and providers.
• Direct inquiries to appropriate staff as needed.
