Job summary

Owens Corning is seeking a Medical Case Manager to navigate short-term and long-term disability, workers' compensation, and other leave benefits, serving as the primary contact for employees and HR.

You will collaborate with HR, EH&S, and plant leadership to develop individualized return-to-work plans, communicate with employees on disability, and coordinate with medical providers to ensure appropriate treatment and accommodations.

Qualifications

• Active licensure as a nurse or vocational rehabilitation counselor.
• 5+ years of experience in disability case management, workers' compensation, and/or employee benefits.
• Ability to travel 10-20%.
• Bi-lingual; Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish and English.
• Preferred location of job would be Toledo, Ohio or Ohio-based remote/home-office.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Human Resources, EH&S, and plant leadership to support disability and leave processes.
• Develop individualized return-to-work plans based on medical status and job demands.
• Communicate with employees on disability leave to monitor progress and provide guidance.
• Coordinate with medical providers to ensure appropriate treatment and accommodations.
• Facilitate modified/light duty arrangements for disabled employees.
• Ensure compliance with disability policies and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in case reviews and recommend actions regarding benefits.
• Maintain accurate case notes per record-keeping policies.
• Stay updated on industry trends and pursue professional development.
• Collaborate with Corporate Legal on FMLA, ADA, ERISA and termination issues.
