Job summary

Owens Corning is hiring a Medical Case Manager to navigate disability, LOA, and workers' compensation leaves in a remote/hybrid US-wide role. You will partner with HR, EH&S, and plant leadership to ensure timely, compliant case management and return-to-work planning.

The role requires active nursing or rehabilitation licensure, 5+ years of related experience, and bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English. Travel up to 20% and Ohio-based remote options are supported.

Qualifications

• Active licensure as a nurse or vocational rehabilitation counselor.
• 5+ years of experience in disability case management, workers' compensation, and/or employee benefits.
• Ability to travel 10-20%.
• Bi-lingual; Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish and English.
• Preferred location of job would be Toledo, Ohio or Ohio-based remote/home-office.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with HR, EH&S, and plant leadership teams to ensure employees receive appropriate support during leaves.
• Evaluate the needs of employees on disability leave and develop return-to-work plans.
• Communicate regularly with employees on disability leave to assess progress and provide guidance.
• Work with medical providers to coordinate medical treatment and accommodations.
• Coordinate modified/light duty assignments for disabled employees.
• Ensure compliance with disability policies and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in case reviews and determine actions on benefits.
• Maintain accurate case notes and documentation per record-keeping policies.
• Stay current with disability case management trends and pursue professional development.
• Collaborate with Corporate Legal on FMLA, ADA, ERISA and termination issues.
