Job summary

Jordan's Furniture is seeking a Leave of Absence & Workers’ Compensation Coordinator to provide day-to-day administration and case management for leave and workers' compensation programs. You will work closely with employees, managers, HR, payroll, vendors, and insurance carriers to ensure timely guidance and effective case handling.

Responsibilities include administering leave and disability cases, communicating requirements, coordinating workers' comp, and maintaining confidential records

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2-4 years in benefits administration, HR, leave administration or related field.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service and ability to handle confidential matters.
  • Attention to detail and accurate recordkeeping; MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Administer routine leave of absence and disability cases per policy and law.
  • Communicate leave requirements, benefits, and return-to-work expectations.
  • Serve as primary contact for employees, managers, payroll, HR, and vendors.
  • Coordinate workers' compensation claims and documentation collection.
  • Monitor cases to ensure timely submissions and proper resolutions.
  • Maintain confidential records across HR, payroll, leave, and W/C systems.
  • Support accommodation requests by coordinating documentation and communications.
  • Prepare reports and maintain OSHA-related records and audits.
  • Identify issues or risks and escalate complex matters appropriately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

As the Leave of Absence & Workers’ Compensation Coordinator, you will provide day-to-day administration and case management support for leave and workers' compensation programs. You will partner closely with employees, managers, HR, payroll, external vendors, and insurance carriers to ensure cases are managed effectively and employees receive timely guidance and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer routine leave of absence and disability cases in accordance with company policies and applicable federal and state laws.
  • Communicate leave requirements, deadlines, benefit information, and return-to-work expectations to employees and managers.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees, managers, payroll partners, HR team members, and absence management vendors regarding leave and workers' compensation matters.
  • Coordinate workers' compensation claims, including claim reporting, documentation collection, employee outreach, and ongoing claim administration.
  • Monitor leave, disability, and workers' compensation cases to ensure timely submission of documentation, compliance with deadlines, and accurate case resolution.
  • Maintain confidential records, case notes, correspondence, and system data across HR, payroll, leave, and workers' compensation platforms.
  • Support workplace accommodation requests by coordinating documentation, tracking requests, and facilitating communications.
  • Prepare reports and maintain required records, including workers' compensation logs, OSHA-related documentation, audits, data validation, and annual compliance activities.
  • Identify issues, discrepancies, or potential risks and elevate complex or sensitive matters appropriately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-4 years of experience in benefits administration, human resources, leave administration, disability management, workers' compensation, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and cases simultaneously.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, including the ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters professionally.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree or coursework in Human Resources, Business Administration, Benefits Administration, or a related field.
  • Direct experience administering leave, disability, or workers' compensation cases.
  • Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, state leave laws, workers' compensation processes, and wage replacement benefits.
  • Experience working with HRIS, absence management, claims administration, or case management systems.

Pay Range: $33.00 - 41.00 per hour. We share our pay range because transparency matters. This reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role based on experience and performance.
