Job summary

Rotech Healthcare Inc. is seeking a Billing Collection Generalist for our Billing Center.

In this role you will complete special projects with the BCM/BCS, ensuring tasks are handled efficiently and accurately, with a focus on issue resolution and timely follow-up. We offer a starting pay of $15 per hour, a Mon-Fri 7am-5pm schedule, and the possibility to Work From Home after completing IN OFFICE TRAINING and meeting performance expectations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Background check and drug screen where applicable.
• Compliance with credentialing processes when applicable.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Review re-billing audits for accuracy and obtain supervisor approval before posting.
• Contact payer, patient, or location as appropriate.
• Document work in systems with notes and patient records.
• Maintain good communication with locations and payers.
• Process adjustments in the system and changes in patient info.
• Report payer trends to supervisor and resolve emails within 48 hours.
• Identify unpaid claims reasons and determine valid adjustments.
• Collaborate with supervisor and team on issue resolution.
