The role emphasizes accuracy, effective communication, and knowledge of medical billing processes, HCPC/ICD-9 codes, and claim edits. Remote work with US coverage is offered.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills with phone and email etiquette.
• Ability to read, understand and follow written instructions.
• Experience handling customer inquiries and insurance questions.
• Familiar with medical terminology and HCPC/ICD-9 codes.
• Able to document activities in ERP system accurately and timely.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Service customer needs by accurately billing accounts and ensuring timely remittance.
• Follow up with payers to facilitate uninterrupted cash flow.
• Answer questions from customers, clerical staff, and insurance companies.
• Identify and resolve patient billing complaints.
• Handle customer collection calls.
• Edit and resubmit claims for payment; prepare and review clean claims.
• Document activities in ERP system; ensure payment accuracy.
