Qualifications

• 2+ years of medical billing, coding, and insurance follow-up experience.
• CPC/CCS certification or equivalent preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
• Experience with EHR/EMR platforms (Epic, Meditech, PrognoCis).
• Familiarity with payer guidelines, HIPAA, CMS, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process and submit medical claims to insurance payers and third-party organizations.
• Code procedures and diagnoses using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS standards.
• Generate cost estimates for procedures based on insurance coverage and contracts.
• Review billing data in EHR/EMR before claim submission to ensure accuracy.
• Use EHR/EMR systems (Epic, Meditech, PrognoCis) for documentation, coding, and billing workflows.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies or claim denials.
