Job summary

Colorado Mountain Medical is seeking a Remote Medical Assistant to support providers and clinical teams in patient care while handling records and administrative duties from a remote location.

You will handle patient calls, portal messages, and refills, ensuring HIPAA compliance and accurate documentation in the EHR. Requires CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/MAC/NHA certifications and about 2 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance.
• 2 years of experience with patient care and administrative duties preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer patient phone calls and voicemails promptly and professionally.
• Respond to patient portal and EHR messages within established timeframes.
• Process refill requests based on approved workflows.
• Route requests to providers when needed for processing.
• Manage patient portal messages within the EHR and maintain documentation.
