Job summary

Ensemble is seeking a remote healthcare patient access assistant focused on evaluating eligibility for Medicaid and related programs. You will work with patients to gather required documents, ensure accurate submissions, and support timely billing or adjustments, using patient accounting systems.

Minimum 1–2 years in healthcare, with knowledge of billing processes. High school diploma or GED required; remote work with potential onsite needs as required by clients.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in healthcare interacting with patients regarding hospital finances.
• Experience with patient access and billing processes is preferred.
• Healthcare environment familiarity is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Review referred uninsured/under-insured patients for eligibility opportunities and manage the application process.
• Communicate with patients to obtain required documents for the application.
• Update insurance information and ensure timely billing or adjustments.
• Document all actions in patient accounting systems.
