Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners, a remote United States role, is seeking a Patient Access specialist to screen uninsured/under-insured patients for Medicaid eligibility and assist with application submissions.

You will coordinate with county/state Medicaid partners, maintain documentation in patient accounting systems, and help ensure timely billing and adjustments while exploring process improvements and AI-driven solutions.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in healthcare industry, interacting with patients regarding hospital financial issues.
• Bilingual speaking proficiency in Spanish/English.
• Understanding of Revenue Cycle including admission, billing, payments and denials.
• Knowledge of patient insurance processes for authorizations and benefits verification.
• Call Center experience preferred.
• CRCR certification required within 9 months of hire (Company Paid).

Responsibilities

• Interview uninsured/under-insured patients to determine Medicaid eligibility.
• Assist with application processes to facilitate accurate and appropriate submissions.
• Communicate with patients to obtain documents that must accompany the application.
• Update insurance information and ensure timely billing or adjustment posting.
• Document actions in patient accounting systems.
• Develop relationships with Medicaid caseworkers and other departments.
