Job summary

Pipeline Design & Engineering, LLC is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Lead to guide customer projects while remaining actively involved in engineering. You will be the primary contact for assigned customers, lead multidisciplinary teams, manage schedules and budgets, and ensure deliverables meet Pipeline’s quality standards.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing custom automation, manufacturing equipment, and precision fixtures.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and lead technical discussions.
• Strong project leadership with budgeting, scheduling, and multi-disciplinary coordination.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for assigned customers and lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Define project tasks, schedules, budgets, and manage risks and decisions.
• Review designs for manufacturability, quality, and compliance with standards.
• Prepare proposals, estimates, and quotes for prospective projects.
• Mentor engineers in mechanical design, automation, and engineering best practices.
• Lead design reviews and coordinate work across mechanical, controls, electrical, software, and manufacturing.
