Job summary

Pipeline Design & Engineering, LLC seeks an experienced Mechanical Project Lead to guide customer projects and stay actively involved in engineering. You’ll be the primary contact for assigned customers, lead multidisciplinary teams, and manage schedules and budgets to meet Pipeline’s quality standards.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in custom automation, manufacturing equipment, and precision fixtures, with mentoring and strong technical discussion skills.

Qualifications

• Experience designing custom automation and manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to mentor engineers and lead technical discussions.
• Strong project-management skills with ability to manage schedules and budgets.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams across mechanical, controls, electrical, software, and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for customers and gather requirements.
• Define tasks, assign responsibilities, and create project schedules.
• Track progress, budgets, risks, and decisions; communicate issues early.
• Lead design reviews and coordinate work among ME, controls, electrical, software, and manufacturing.
• Review work for accuracy, manufacturability, and quality; prepare proposals and estimates.
• Mentor younger engineers in mechanical design, automation, and best practices.
