Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Project Leader for its Automation Systems Division to oversee and deliver complex automation projects. You will lead engineering teams, manage client relationships, and ensure projects meet scope, budget, and schedule.

This role requires strong leadership, scheduling expertise, and a willingness to travel for client sites. Ideal candidates hold an engineering degree with senior project experience, and possess or are capable of obtaining government security clearances.

Qualifications

• Exposure to computer screens for an extended period.
• Working knowledge of automation systems including switchgear and power distribution.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a project leadership role.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills to motivate teams.
• PM certifications such as PMP or CAP are desirable.
• Ability to obtain and maintain government security clearances as needed.
• Experience leading cross-functional project teams.
• Financial literacy and project financial reporting knowledge.
• Strong analytical, data-driven decision making.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
• Attend regular in-person meetings with customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage automation systems projects from initiation to completion within scope, budget, and schedule.
• Provide team guidance, collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and software engineers.
• Manage client relationships, communicate progress and milestones.
• Ensure quality and compliance with industry standards and safety requirements.
• Oversee budgets, resources, procurement, and subcontractors.
• Travel ~25% for on-site visits and client meetings.
