Job summary

Pipeline Design and Engineering in Tempe, AZ seeks an experienced Mechanical Project Lead to guide customer projects while remaining actively involved in engineering. You will serve as the primary contact for assigned customers, lead multidisciplinary teams, manage schedules and budgets, and ensure deliverables meet Pipeline's quality standards.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience designing custom automation, manufacturing equipment, and precision fixtures.

Qualifications

• Experience leading mechanical engineering projects and teams.
• Hands-on design of automation equipment and fixtures.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and run design reviews.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary customer contact and define project requirements.
• Create and maintain detailed project schedules and budgets.
• Lead cross-discipline reviews with mechanical, controls, electrical, software teams.
• Review work for manufacturability and quality.
• Prepare proposals, estimates, and quotes.
• Mentor engineers in mechanical design and best practices.
• Improve engineering workflows, templates, and processes.
• Troubleshoot issues and keep projects moving forward.
