Job summary

AfterQuery Experts is seeking a remote, project-based mechanical engineer to contribute hands-on CAD and mechanical design work. You will handle design iterations, analysis, and documentation across components and assemblies, with flexible 10–20 weekly hours on a project-by-project basis.

We expect strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, CATIA, NX) and a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field, enabling detailed drawings and manufacturing-ready documentation.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in mechanical engineering, product design, or related field.
• Proficiency in CAD platforms such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, CATIA, or NX.
• Ability to produce detailed mechanical designs and drawings to industry standards.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Create, review, and iterate on mechanical designs and CAD models for components, assemblies, and systems.
• Develop detailed engineering drawings and technical documentation to manufacturing standards.
• Perform engineering analysis and support product development workflows.
• Document design decisions, assumptions, and methodologies clearly and reproducibly.
