AfterQuery Experts is seeking a remote, project-based mechanical engineer with hands-on CAD experience. You will create and iterate on designs, develop detailed drawings, and support product development.

Flexible 10–20 hours weekly on projects, with exposure to real-world engineering challenges that boost your portfolio. Applicants should have a mechanical engineering degree and proficiency in major CAD tools.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in mechanical engineering, product design, or a related field.
• Proficiency in at least one major CAD platform (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, CATIA, NX, or equivalent).
• Demonstrated ability to produce detailed mechanical designs and engineering drawings to industry standards.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related engineering field.

Responsibilities

• Create, review, and iterate on mechanical designs and CAD models for components, assemblies, and systems.
• Develop detailed engineering drawings and technical documentation to manufacturing standards.
• Perform engineering analysis and support product development workflows.
• Document design decisions, assumptions, and methodologies clearly and reproducibly.
