Protingent is seeking a Mechanical Designer for GD&T tolerance analysis. The role focuses on producing robust CAD models, maintaining complex designs, and performing 1-D tolerance stack-ups. You will leverage Sigmetrix CeTol and SolidWorks, ensuring GD&T per ASME standards while applying DFM/DFA principles.

The position offers contract work with 100% remote location in the United States, requiring up to 5% travel. Candidates should have 8+ years CAD experience and strong communication skills.

Qualificações

• Demonstrated GD&T expertise per ASME Y14.5-2018.
• Experience with 3-D tolerance analysis software (Sigmetrix CeTol preferred).
• 8+ years CAD experience with SolidWorks.

Responsabilidades

• Produce robust CAD models for fast-paced design evolution.
• Develop and maintain complex mechanical designs; conduct trade studies to down-select options.
• Use model configurations to support analytical needs (structural, thermal, etc.).
• Generate complex 3-D tolerance analyses using Sigmetrix CeTol.
• Review drawings for GD&T accuracy per ASME Y14.5-2018 and company standards.
• Document design progress and decisions via collaboration tools.
• Create engineering drawings per ASME Y14.1 and Y14.5 standards.
• Perform and document 1-D tolerance stack-up calculations.
• Maintain configuration control of models/drawings via PLM/PDM systems.
• Review and contribute to design documents and standards.
