Job summary

Facility Optimization Solutions LLC is seeking a Mechanical Assessor to lead mechanical and plumbing facility condition assessments for diverse assets. You will observe, document, and evaluate systems, identify deficiencies, and provide written findings with budget estimates.

You will mentor junior Assessors, coordinate with clients, and support project managers across healthcare, education, and commercial sectors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years’ experience in mechanical/plumbing facility assessments.
• Experience evaluating HVAC, plumbing, and related building systems.
• Experience with healthcare and educational facilities preferred.
• Strong communication and ability to travel up to 40%.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site facility condition assessments as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Evaluate HVAC, ductwork, piping, cooling towers, chillers, and boilers.
• Lead and support junior Assessors; interface with client staff.
• Provide written descriptions of observed systems and deficiencies.
• Develop budgetary cost estimates for recommended corrections.
• Prepare project progress documentation and review peers’ work.
