Job summary

Workiva, Inc. is seeking a sustainability graduate intern to apply academic knowledge to real-world corporate sustainability. You will collaborate with the Director of Global Sustainability and cross-functional SMEs to advance sustainability goals.

You’ll conduct research, assist with reporting, analyze data, prepare reports, and craft communications to strengthen Workiva's sustainability narrative while gaining hands-on experience with sustainability frameworks and the Workiva platform.

Qualifications

Current enrollment in a master’s degree program focusing on Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or related field.
Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks (GRI, SASB, CSRD, ISSB, CDP, ISS, MSCI, EcoVadis, Sustainalytics).
Exposure to Workiva sustainability management platform and AI-assisted workflows.

Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth research on sustainability best practices and reporting frameworks to inform Workiva's non-financial disclosure strategy.
Support development of sustainability reporting and disclosures.
Prepare reports and presentations on sustainability performance and progress.
Collect and analyze sustainability-related data.
Contribute to communication materials to enhance Workiva's sustainability narrative.
Collaborate with finance, legal, internal audit, communications, and marketing to position Workiva as a sustainability leader.
